The main event

Perth's own Jack Della Maddalena, former UFC Welterweight Champion and the city's biggest MMA star, returns home to face the relentless Brazilian knockout artist Carlos "The Nightmare" Prates in a five-round welterweight main event. After capturing the welterweight title in stunning fashion at UFC 315 in May 2025, JDM is hungry to fight his way back to the top. Prates, meanwhile, arrives in red-hot form following back-to-back knockouts of Leon Edwards and Geoff Neal.

This is the fifth time the UFC has visited Perth since 2018 but it marks the first time a Perth Fight Night has been staged in Australian prime time, making it the highest-profile UFC event the city has ever hosted.
